Pirate Dome Lunch BoxReviewsIt is functional as a lunch box. And I love the pirate logo. But it's very small. as in, you can barely fit a sandwich standing up in it. Also, it's incredibly thin and flimsy. Even gripping it firmly will cause it to bend. I don't expect it to live through the year. I bought two for each of my boys. They loved the look of them and thought they we super cool lunch boxes. I agree but they aren't going to last long because they are cheaply made...Amazon was great to purchase through though...it shipped fast and everything on that end went smooth...just wish the product was better made. The metal (I assume it is tin) is so thin, barely thicker than tin foil. If you actually want to use this lunch box for carrying your lunch to work or school each day, you'll be lucky to get a month out of it. It will dent incredibly easy and the latches will no longer easily line up. A shame, really, because the lunch box looks very nice. Unfortunately, it's just extremely poorly made and is not worth the money. You'd be better off finding a good steel dome lunch box and putting a pirate sticker on it. This item is excellent! The order could not have gone smother and it arrived very quickly. This is a great lunch box. The hinges and latches are made well. It is a big hit for my son who loves pirates. Plenty of room for lots of food and a drink. I recommend this item. Average Rating:![]() |

Boo-boos come in all sizes. Some only need a wee bandage, while others require something a little more substantial. Each 3-3/4" tall metal tin contains two sizes of latex-free, vinyl, adhesive bandages (three 3-1/4" long pirate flags, ten 1-1/2" tall skulls) with sterile gauze and a FREE TOY to take your mind off of the excruciating pain. |

Laid to Rest (Unrated Director's Cut)ReviewsThe movie is pretty good. The girl is kind of annoying because she seems to get a lot of people killed. But overall a really good movie if you like the slasher/gory horror movie. What can I say? This movie delivered everything I wanted it to. Strong brutal killings/unique killings, cheesy acting, great music (courtesy of Suicidal Tendencies), and decent atmosphere. Laid To Rest is kind of an homage to older slasher films from the 80's, there have been alot of these low budget straight to dvd horror films that are tributes to 80's slasher films but in my honest opinion some of them they have failed. However Laid To Rest has succeeded where the others have failed, the reason why I say this is because this film was actually fun to watch, it has a great mixture of gore with some humor (not too much so it turns itself into a bad parody) and some serious and more dramatic stuff. The acting wasn't that good but wasn't bad either, it was average and the killer looked pretty cool and was menacing, he's called Chromeskull and doesn't speak. He is a technologically-dependent serial killer, who wears a chrome-plated mask, and who's knives are just as sharp as his mind, and just as shiny as his face. He's also a very violent maniac. This guy isn't about pursuing much, but rather likes to wait for his victims to get themselves into a certain position so he can sneak up on them. And when he finally gets them, he shows no mercy which made for a very gory film all around. The story was about a young girl who wakes up in a casket in a funeral home with a traumatic head injury and no memory of her identity. She soon realizes she has been abducted by a deranged serial murderer in an isolated rural town. Now she must survive the night and outsmart the technologically inclined killer who is hellbent on finishing what he started. The characters weren't like typical cliches but were very interesting and the film had a nice pace to it. Overall it's just a great modern slasher flick that had alot of great scenes and a cool chrome faced killer that was reminiscent of Jason from Friday The 13th films. I highly recommend this to horror fans. because even though the film has prolly the best practical (read: not CGI) efx this side of 1982, the horrible 'acting' from lead actress/producer/director's wife, Bobbie Sue is just too atrocious to ignore. Couple that with an undeveloped script (read: not written by a professional writer), and the flimsiest of plots, and you're left with a fanbase of horror nerds who can't string two sentences together without typos and head-scratching grammar. For those of us who truly love horror, this movie, however hard they tried, fails to do anything but summon a whole buncha 'what-ifs'. Like: What if they had a solid script? What if they had a solid actress? What if Bobbie Sue's only talents lie beneath her shirt? What if, indeed... FAIL. 'Laid To Rest' is killer. Do you love gore? Lots of bloody gore? Do you like your horror with practical effects? Do you hate crappy CGI? Then this movie is just the ticket for you then. The story is simple: a chick wakes up in a coffin with amnesia. Chrome Skull, who is easily the best slasher villain in a decade(shove it, Jigsaw), starts hunting her down. She befriends a couple who help her but unwittingly become targets of Chrome Skull as well. There's plenty of cameos throughout that genre fans will appreciate as well. As I said before, the story is simple. The acting is pretty good, a few notches above typical horror fare. The villain is totally sweet. But the real star of the show is the effects. They aren't crappy CGI effects that litter movies nowadays. These are old school, practical effects. Totally awesome, totally brutal, and totally worth the price of admission. If you love slasher movies, gore, and metallic skulls, then 'Laid To Rest' is the flick for you. I believe I am unable to render any opinion about any element of this film because of the script. It's the script that keeps me from dismissing the actors. Who knows? Maybe they could've really done some good work here if they had something to work with. Ditto the director. (From what I read in other reviews, his debut was LIGHTNING BUG, a film I'd seen premeired at the Century City Film Festival in 2004 and thought the same thing: too bad the script didn't work). The script was such a mess of slasher cliches that didn't know what to believe while watching the film: the world that exists here isn't the real world. In fact, it's so far removed from the real world that I wondered if the characters were actually already dead and didn't know it. Nope. The script just didn't know it was in the real world. Cops don't exist. Neighbors don't exist. In fact, so much mayhem goes on unnoticed that you wonder if anyone else existed on this film's planet. And forget about finding out who the killer is, why he's what he is, why he's doing what he's doing. He's just an anonymous super killer with a chrome mask he has to keep gluing on, wearing a camcorder on his shoulder and surviving everything from clubs and shovels to bullets. He is thoughtful enough to move really, really slow to allow some lame scenes between the victims. So he's at least considerate. The chick was hot though. Average Rating:![]() |
